Molly Burmester joins Mid-America Publishing as Star and Tribune-Journal marketing consultant

ALLISON — Molly Burmester joined the Butler County Tribune-Journal and Clarksville Star as marketing consultant on July 8.

Burmester recently relocated to Iowa from Scottsdale, Arizona where she worked in hospitality management, having additional experience in administrative work. A graduate of Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona, Burmester lives in Hampton with her husband Ryan, a farmer, and 10-month-old daughter Mabel.

Because she grew up on a farm in central Illinois, Burmester said she has always had an appreciation for the land, hard work and hope, which are so rooted in the Midwest demographic and its agricultural communities, she said.

Burmester said she looks forward to the rural sense of civility and reciprocity, and to becoming involved with the community.

In that vein, Burmester believes promoting business in smaller communities is essential for economic development and sustainability.

She looks forward to not only doing her duty as a marketing consultant but also as a consumer by supporting and promoting local businesses.

"Molly brings a holistic, reasoned approach to marketing and will be a great fit for the company," Tribune/Star Editor Mira Schmitt Cash said.

"Molly is a great addition to our team," Group Publisher Clinton Poock said.

"She brings a high level of enthusiasm to her role as marketing representative. She has an eye for detail and a solid understanding of advertising and marketing concepts. With her hospitality background, she places a big emphasis on customer service. I know she is looking forward to meeting all of the businesses and organizations in Butler County and the surrounding communities," Poock said.

“I n the short time I’ve gotten to know Molly, I’ve come realize more and more how Molly is the ideal fit for Clarksville and Allison,” said Ryan Harvey, President and CEO of Mid-America Publishing. “Her personality meshes well with what our customers expect combined with her upbringing on a farm in the Midwest along with her strong background in hospitality will make this seem like a fairly easy transition.”

“I think she’s exactly the type of candidate we wanted when we embarked on hiring Paula’s replacement,” Harvey said. “I believe she has a dynamic personality with an understanding of small communities combined with a passion for helping the customer. Molly will do well in the Butler County area and I look forward to watching her blossom into her new position.”

Please contact Molly by email at butlersales.map@gmail.com, in the Clarksville office at 310-278-4641, or on her cellphone, 928-699-8521 to discuss how the Butler County Tribune-Journal and Clarksville Star can assist with your business’s marketing strategy.

Former Tribune/Star marketing representative Paula Barnett officially retired on July 6 but will be around to assist in the transition.
