Outlook hires new editor
Jason Loper, of Monona, has been hired as the editor of The Outlook.
Jason joins the staff with over five years of writing experience. He edited the popular home and design blog Apartment Therapy for four years before moving on to lead the blogs and social media accounts for Craftsman Tools and Kenmore Appliances.
“We are thrilled that Jason is willing to serve as the editor of The Outlook,” said Ryan Harvey, publisher of The Outlook. “His outgoing personality, thoughtful writing, and strong abilities as a photographer and writer will suit him well.”
Harvey said the fact that Loper already lives in Monona was an added bonus.
“Having Jason already integrated into the community and having a firm understanding of many of the key folks in the community are a huge asset for the paper. We are truly excited to take the next step and have him flourish in this role.”
Prior to his work in editorial and advertising, Jason ran his own successful handbag design business in Chicago.
Jason studied English Literature at Wright State University in Ohio. He caught the journalism bug when he wrote for a hometown newspaper in high school.
