Ryder joins Butler County sales staff

Cali Ryder

BUTLER COUNTY – Community members in Butler County can look forward to seeing a new face around town.

Cali Ryder, formerly of Muscatine, has joined the Parkersburg Eclipse, Butler County Tribune-Journal, and Clarksville Star as a marketing representative. Ryder, an Illinois native who has spent a lot of time in eastern Iowa, says that she’s excited to start her new job here in Butler County.

“I’m really excited to be here,” Ryder said. “Moving to a new town and starting a new job is definitely an adventure, but I love adventures and I can’t wait to jump in and meet everyone.”

Ryder joins the team with a wealth of experience in the area of advertising and marketing.

Prior to taking the job in Butler County, she worked as an advertising representative for the Muscatine Journal, and the Moline Dispatch before that. She also has experience in the TV industry, selling advertising for KLJB FOX 18.

“Cali knows the advertising business,” said regional publisher and advertising director Clint Poock. “She brings over seven years of newspaper advertising experience to our newspapers in Butler County.”

Last week was Ryder’s first week on the job, and Poock says she has jumped right in.

“Cali has a lot of great ideas and a lot of enthusiasm, and I know she’s looking forward to meeting everyone in the communities we serve,” he said. “Myself and our parent company, Mid-America Publishing, are very pleased that she’s joined the organization.”

Ryder says her goal in her new position is to provide the best customer service to her clients, and to ensure that both clients and the newspaper flourish and grow.

In her spare time Ryder enjoys spending time with her husband Jake, who is the regional sports editor at the Parkersburg Eclipse and Grundy Register, and their two cats Hershel and Luna.
