Sales veteran named MAP Butler County advertising rep

PARKERSBURG — A long-time sales representative will be continuing her career with Mid-America Publishing’s Butler County properties. Parkersburg resident Courtney Frey assumed duties as an advertising sales representative for the Allison-based Butler County Tribune-Journal, Clarksville Star and Parkersburg Eclipse News-Review last week.

“I’m excited that Courtney has joined our staff and team serving Butler County,” said Clint Poock, publisher of all three papers. “She has solid advertising experience and great marketing ideas and concepts. I know that she’ll be able to help our customers reach new levels of success by utilizing our products and services.”

“We are excited to have Courtney join our staff,” Mid-America President and CEO Ryan Harvey added. “Courtney has lived in Butler County for 12 years, with her background in sales and her willingness to work with clients to assist with their business needs, we just felt like she was a natural fit for the position.”

Frey has worked extensively in both outside and inside sales in both retail and business-to-business marketing, including a previous position selling for a group of radio stations in the Waterloo- Cedar Falls area.

“I’m truly looking forward to getting to know each and every local business owner and developing strong relationships that enable me to help them grow even more successful,” she said. “I love to see businesses grow! In my experience with media and marketing, one of my favorite parts of my job is discovering the needs a business has and developing solutions that encourage and foster continued growth.”

Frey holds collegiate degrees in Health and Human Services and also Psychology. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband of 22 years, her children and her two grandchildren. She is also a published author.
