The News-Review is thrilled to welcome Amber Kephart as the new Managing Editor; she began her duties on Monday, Sept. 15 taking over for Robin Handy. “I have some pretty big shoes to fill and I am looking forward to the opportunity to do that,” she said.
Her tasks will include covering events, writing stories, updating the website and social media, and reviewing the layout and design of special issues. Kephart brings with her enthusiasm, attention to detail, and ambition to be involved in the community.
Kephart is a Keokuk County native: growing up in Hedrick and attending Pekin Community School. She and husband, Eric, moved to Sigourney two years ago and have enjoyed the small town. “Everyone has been so welcoming since we moved here and I look forward to raising our two sons in this community,” she said.
