A large cross-section of MAP staffers traveled to Des Moines last Friday for a day of learning and networking at the Iowa News Association's annual Convention and Trade Show. Classes included subjects like time management and workflow, video production, growing ad revenue, and InDesign.
The convention wrapped up with the Iowa 2015 Better Newspaper contests award reception. Approximately 4,200 entries in dozens of categories were judged by class, based on circulation. The annual contests are sponsored by the Iowa Newspaper Foundation and judged by the Minnesota Newspaper Association. Mid-America Publishing was granted several awards. The full list is below. Congrats to our hard-working staff on this recognition!
