Born and raised just south of Boston, Massachusetts, I have a passion for writing with a love for sports. Though soccer is definitely my favorite sport, I enjoy watching and playing all of them. I am a second generation American, along with my sister. Both of my grandparents were born in Portugal and immigrated to the United States in the late 60s for better lives and more opportunity. In May of 2021, my parents made a similar decision as we relocated to Clarion, Iowa for more peaceful lives and better opportunities. My sister and her husband are both teachers in the Iowa school system, and have also moved to Iowa for similar reasons, where they plan to raise a family.

I am currently 18 years old, and a senior at the Clarion-Goldfield-Dows High School. Ever since I was young it’s always been my dream to write screenplays and take part in seeing those screenplays developed into motion pictures. I’ve written several original and adapted screenplays, and I continue to strive to achieve my dream. I have also written a book about my late, unapologetic grandfather, titled Not Your Average Joe.

I am absolutely thrilled to be writing for both the Wright County Monitor and Eagle Grove Eagle. I love writing, no matter what I’m writing about, and now that I get to write for a great organization in Mid America Publishing, I am beyond elated to begin. I cannot wait until the Winter sports season kicks off, as that will be my first sporting assignment this year. I know that I am young and have much to learn, but I have a sheer passion for writing, and have always thrived in new endeavors. It is my ambition to create enjoyable content for all of the Eagle Grove Eagle and Wright County Monitor followers.
